Sticking with the Game Plan - Judy Davis

A lot of those people could be your family, don’t you want your family, especially your kids, to love the Lord.  I heard a sermon once that really stuck in my husbands and my mind and the speaker ask the question do you want just “good kids” or do you want “Godly kids” my answer was I want Godly kids.  Think about that so if you give up now how will that effect your kids?

Seasoned With Salt - Missy Cogley

I love salt. I really enjoy it. I love how it makes the flavor of the food become bright and
intensifies it. Salt also makes the food have flavor when there is not much flavor there. Salt
preserves food so that you can enjoy it at a later time. Salt is a mineral that is essential for life in
general and it satisfies one of the basic human tastes. Salt was used in an ancient Hebrew
agreement to seal a covenant with God and they sprinkled their offerings with it to show their
trust in Him. So as you can see salt is important. It is mentioned many times in the word of
God.

Seeing the Need to Intercede - Charlotte Cooper

Do we have this compassion like Jesus did? We need to have this compassion that takes this thought and then drives us to our knees! There are lost souls we pass by everyday! Lost souls!!! Are we going to our prayer closets ,praying that we might have the power, wisdom, truth, and opportunities to share the good news with others? If we do not have the mind of Christ we will pass by those that truly need the gospel. With the blood of Jesus, He looks past our financial standing, our looks, our failures and just sees lost souls in need of a Saviour.

Stand Fast - Angela Southards

Shouldn't we do the same with the work of the Lord? Do we not need to stand fast and get in good position to serve the Lord? We need to stand fast in traditions, II Thessalonians 2:15 and stand fast in faith, I Corinthians 16:13. We need to be steadfast and unmovable, I Corinthians 15:58. We need to hold fast, hold that form without wavering, Hebrews 10:23. There is a race to be run!

This Is Not What I Expected - Joy Comer

I had three choices. 1. I could quit right there and go back home. 2. I could stay and complain that things weren't what I invisioned. 3. I could accept it for what it was and make the best of it. I chose number 3. I knew this was God's will for my life no matter if it was not my plan. How many times in life have we faced circumstances and said those words? "This is not what I expected!" In marriage, as a mom, as a daughter, at a job, as a friend, or even as a Pastors wife things don't go the way "we" plan.

Contentment - Karen Caviness

Have you ever thought of how strange it must seem to God that we can go from one

holiday where we focus on being thankful for all the blessings that God has given us

straight into the next holiday, where our focus should be on the greatest gift ever

given; however, this is the time of year that many people seem to become

discontent. Sometimes it is discontentment because we think we won’t get that

special gift we have really been longing for. Or perhaps it’s not so selfish; our reason

for discontentment is because we don’t have the means to give the gifts we wish we

could.

The Label - Amy Sapp

Chances are that at some point in life someone has done or said something to hurt you... When people are "people" AND we all are very "peopley". Things tend to happen or get said that maybe shouldn't have been. And it HURTS! Sometimes it hurts pretty bad. I am pretty sure if we are honest with ourselves, we would admit that we have all been there at some point in time. And if we are truthful with our own selves we have also been on the side that has done the hurting as well.

Great Faith - Wanda Cape

Can you imagine with me for a minute how it must have been in the days of Jochebed?  I imagine that she faced some extremely hard times. As you will discover in the book of Exodus chapter 1, the wicked King, Pharaoh, had just instructed the Hebrew midwives to slay the male children of the Hebrew women. When Pharaoh discovered that the midwives were not killing the boy children, as he had instructed, he charged all his people to cast every son of the Hebrew women into the river.

Where And How Will We Spend Our Winter? - Rachel Harkins

When it is necessary for us to “go outside and face the storm”, will we tread prayerfully and carefully while remembering that many spiritual accidents occur in the winter time through decisions made in haste? Will we remember that, just as winter blizzards can be blinding, spiritual winter times can leave us temporarily blinded to the direction God would have us take?

UNBELIEF - Kelli Campbell

If you believe in someone, you have faith in them. Faith is complete trust, confidence, conviction and belief. Trust is the firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability or strength of someone or something. The Lord our God created the children of Israel! He delivered them out of bondage, in Egypt. He promised to be their God and to give them the Promised Land. God showed the children of Israel they could trust and believe Him in so many ways. How could they, His creation, not believe Him?

The Beauty of Holiness - Lisa Hampton

It is clear in the scriptures that the Lord finds holiness in his children beautiful. That beauty stems from the holiness of God. In Chronicles 16:29, Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. Similar verses can be found in Psalm 96:9. Holiness is not a suggestion it is a command.

Even If - Sarah Green

And then I saw a mom across the waiting room holding her little boy who has “classic” CF, the kind I just found out my baby did NOT have. And my next thought was, “Would I be thanking Him even if my Anna Jo had not had a good diagnosis?”

Would I still be praising Him even if He chose to tell me no?

Would I still trust His mercy even if He let my innocent child suffer?

God Knows - Rebecca Graham

I delivered our sweet baby 2 weeks later. So many things raced through my mind as I held that sweet baby. Excitement- the fact that God allowed me to see and hold my precious baby. It was an answer to prayer. Sorrow- missing out on all the special moments. But then, something that stuck out to me the most in that moment.......was trust. God knew! He knew everything that would take place, before it even happened. How amazing is that?!

Are You a LuLu? - Alicia Hanks

I often think that God gives me object lessons in my life to teach me important things. Lately, He has a placed a very big object into my life. We recently acquired a dog. Her name is Lulu. Lulu is half Burnese Mountain dog and half Aussie Shepherd. Both of these types of dogs are work dogs, very smart and trainable. Our Lulu is seven months old and has been staked in the yard or in a kennel most of her life. Her owner loved her, but knew that she was not able to properly take care of her.
