Emptying Yourself to be filled with Christ

What does it mean to empty yourself and be filled of Christ?

It means emptying out our own wants and expectations and filling our lives with an expectation for God to move. It invites Him to use us; to allow us to be used as His hands and feet.

When you think of emptying yourself do you truly rid yourself of your wants/desires and allow God His deserved place as head of your life?  This is something I’d never really given a lot of thought to until I started really studying His word.  Asking God to fill me with His Spirit to be number one above all my wants and needs. 

His word tells us

“If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.”

‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2:21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Are you fully letting go and letting God?  Are you asking God to help you empty yourself of your you so you can be filled with Him and be used of Him?  If not, what’s holding you back?  

Give it to God and fully let go so He can fully use you.
